Deliberate action is necessary to keep the reproductive organs and other erogenous zones healthy for perfect sex life between partners. The vagina, for instance, requires proper care to avoid contracting various diseases and keep its physiological conditions at the best ranges for pleasurable sex. However, several misconceptions surrounding female sex organs need facts to demystify. This discussion focuses on exploring the truth of the common adage that claim a woman’s vagina can reveal how many partners she’s had.

Vaginal Bruises and Sex Accidents

People do all they can to avoid causing injuries to those they love other than subject them to painful or harmful circumstances. Unfortunately, people will accidentally get injuries during sex, which may not mean someone engaged in anything bad.

Female genitals are so delicate that they can hurt during hard sex when there is minimal or no genital lubrication. Vaginal injuries may sometimes suggest that a lady may have had a sexual engagement that resulted in such bodily harm.

Loss of Vaginal Grip

In some instances, the vagina may not feel tight as usual to a woman or partner due to various reasons. The woman may not be sexually aroused during sex despite lubrication, making the muscles around the vagina flexible and lose. Complete sexual arousal causes the vaginal muscles around the vulva to be more active due to physiological changes that make the vagina tight. As such, the loss of vagina grip during sex does not mean someone had sex before that made the vagina lose. Therefore, you may not use the loss of the grip as evidence to tell how many partners a woman had.

Pregnancy and Childbirth

Unless a woman gets pregnant, gives birth, contracts STIs or is injured during intercourse, sexual activity rarely changes her body. Previous or recent sexual activities do not make the vagina lose or bring any changes to her external vulva. Also, sexual engagements do not cause a woman's breasts or other body parts to appear or feel different to her partner. Pregnancy and childbirth are two unique indicators that show a woman had sex before because intercourse, in most cases, must happen for conception to occur. However, there are modern ways through which women can conceive without sexual activity, like surrogate motherhood and sperm donation.

Medical Speculum Examination

Medical experts such as gynecologists and obstetricians use a speculum to examine female genitalia for various issues in reproductive health. Sometimes, the medics can tell if a lady had sex recently, at least in the last few hours, if they find suggestive remnants of the lubricants, spermicide, and sperm. However, experts caution that this may not be sufficient evidence to suggest that someone has sex with a different person because sex toys and solo sex can also have some of these remnants. Again, such an assessment can never tell how many sex partners a lady had in her life.

Therefore, it is impossible to tell a woman’s sexual history through vaginal assessment. It is hard to know how many partners se has had in her life because there are no specific parameters to conduct such an assessment. The vagina is an elastic body organ that adjusts during sex to accommodate varying penis sizes. The elasticity allows it to return to its normal state immediately after every sexual activity.
